The Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) (http://pathology.ucsd.edu/) and Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego (RCHSD) (https://www.rchsd.org/) are committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and are seeking a Pediatric Pathologist.
The Pediatric Pathology Division at RCHSD currently has 6 full-time pathologists and provides a full range of anatomic and clinical pathology services, with approximately 13,500 surgical pathology, 400 bone marrow, 1,500 cytopathology cases, and 20 pediatric autopsies per year. The Department participates in ACGME-accredited fellowship training in Surgical Pathology, Gastrointestinal Pathology, Hematopathology, and Neuropathology at the UCSD School of Medicine and trains medical students and residents in pediatric pathology from the UCSD School of Medicine and the San Diego Naval Hospital.
The successful candidate will provide coverage of a full range of Pediatric Pathology services, including share of call. The teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows is also expected.
The appropriate series and appointment as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.
