Position Summary:
The Sales Executive is responsible for promoting BHS services by identifying potential customers, introducing services through sales presentations, closing deals, and negotiating contracts.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
In a manner consistent with supporting BHS’s Mission Statement the Sales Executive shall do the following:
- Act as a point of contact between the prospective customer and the organization throughout the sales process.
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to introduce, establish, and sustain growth by selling BHS services.
- Utilizing the company’s CRM, document all prospect information/activity and track sales activity daily.
- Respond to customer queries and counter objections through thorough knowledge of our services to complete the sales process.
- Provide customers with detailed and accurate quotes and cost calculations.
- Negotiate all contractual documents (including Letters of Intent, Addendums, and Service Agreements).
- Rapidly develop strong and personable relationships with company decision-makers to better address prospects’ needs.
- Demonstrate BHS program and services to "C" level decision makers effectively.
- Transitions completed sales contracts to the Account Management Team for implementation.
- Attend industry conferences for networking and relationship building to create new prospects and develop ongoing relationships with existing partners.
- Attend both internal and external training and seminars to stay abreast of industry trends.
- Maintain knowledge of competitor products and services and understand the BHS differentiators.
- Delegate administrative tasks to Business Development Coordinator as needed (ex. meeting preparation, scheduling meetings, creating proposals, etc.)
- Attend annual Sales Kick-off meetings (in person), quarterly Sales & Marketing meetings (in person), and bi-weekly team meetings (virtually).
- Travel throughout the domestic U.S. when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Training, and Experience:
- Three to five (3-5) years’ of B2B sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in the healthcare or behavioral health field.
- One to three (1-3) years’ experience with CRM platforms, such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience in healthcare or behavioral health sales is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or other business-related field or the mental health or EAP fields is preferred.
- Experience working with and/or existing relationships with Human Resource professionals or other decision-makers is preferred.
- Experience working with and/or existing relationships with employee benefits professionals (brokers) is preferred.
- Experience selling conceptual products (services) and solution-based sales is preferred.
This is a REMOTE position. BHS is seeking candidates throughout the US. Applicants outside of Maryland will be considered for this role.
