Position Summary:
The Business Operations Director is responsible for shaping and executing the strategic vision for Lean Operations and Automation, aligning with company objectives, and integrating Lean principles. The role drives continuous improvement by leading cross-functional teams, evaluates automation solutions, defines KPIs, implements change management, and fosters collaboration with stakeholders. They manage budgets, select vendors, and ensure effective communication, training, and risk mitigation for successful Lean and automation initiatives.

What will your job entail?
Responsibilities:

Develops and executes the strategic vision for Lean Operations and Automation, aligning with the company's overall objectives.

Partners with executives and business heads to integrate Lean principles into the organizational culture and business strategy.

Translates the strategic vision of the executives into actionable long-term and short-term plans, by leading the development of innovative business operations solutions and tools.

Leads cross-functional teams to analyze existing processes, eliminate waste, and implement Lean methodologies to achieve operational excellence.

Establishes a robust tracking and reporting system to monitor operational performance, identifies process improvement opportunities and ensures streamlined and efficient workflows.

Defines key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of Lean Operations and automation initiatives. Manages budgets and allocates resources effectively to support Lean and automation projects.

Evaluates and oversees automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and improve accuracy.

Implements change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of Lean practices and automation technologies across the organization.

Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging employees at all levels to actively participate in enhancements.

Collaborates with various stakeholders to understand their operational challenges and develop tailored solutions.

Communicates effectively with internal teams and external partners, providing updates on progress, key milestones, and the impact of Lean and automation initiatives.

Delivers training programs to build a skilled workforce capable of embracing Lean methodologies and utilizing automation tools.
Work Experience:
-
Minimum of 12 years of experience in Lean Operations, Automation in Insurance industry with a minimum of 5 years of management experience.
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred; Business Administration, Operations Management, Sales preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
Licenses & Certifications:

Prescribed: Lean Six Sigma Certification (LSS)

Preferred: Certified Automation Professional (CAP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certification in Process Excellence (CPE)
