Civil/Design Engineering Consulting firm is seeking a Civil Engineer to assist in growing their operation based in Dover, DE. Experience in land development design and permitting is considered a plus. Candidates will be expected to prepare design and permitting packages to support land development and wastewater activities in DE and surrounding states. Ideal candidates will have a B.S. in Civil, Environmental Engineering or Engineering Technology and licensure (or are on track to securing licensure in six months). While not required, knowledge of supporting software packages (e.g., AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HydroCAD, PondPack, StormCAD, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, etc.) is considered a plus. Candidates may work remotely from a three-hour radius of our office in Dover, DE.
Candidate will be expected to prepare existing site surveys and exhibits that document, evaluate, and recommend solutions for civil engineering projects; Prepare presentation documents for use in client meetings and public hearings; Prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications; Provide third party reviews of plans and specifications; Provide contract administration services during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications; Prepare engineering computations and design reports; Perform related duties as assigned or required to meet company goals and objectives.
Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, be self-motivated and willing to put forth the full effort towards the task at hand. Candidate should have a strong desire to grow and advance as an engineer on path toward licensure. Candidate should be a detail-oriented person who takes pride in their work.
Salary is commensurate of experience. The firm offers a competitive wage and benefit package including 401k.
