Our residential programs are ready to hire Behavioral Health Technicians to join the team in our Group Home and Emergency Shelter.
We are looking for compassionate, energetic, and dependable individuals who are committed to improving the lives of youth in Foster Care.
In this role you will spend most of your time in direct supervision of the youth in our agency’s care, providing a safe and secure environment where their emotional well-being can flourish. You will assist in the youth’s daily routines including food service, housekeeping duties, medication administration, necessary classes or client groups, and off-site activities that could include sporting events, movies, and other fun events. Utilizing agency-established behavior management protocols and procedures you will support the youth and assist in building essential life skills.
To be considered you must have:
The ability to work four, 10-hour shifts each week between the hours of 12pm-10pm. Flexible schedules will be considered based on the needs of the program.
A High School Diploma or equivalent and be at least 21 years of age
One year of experience supervising, nurturing, and meeting the basic needs for youth
Multi-tasking skills that will support proper documentation and note taking in a fast paced environment
A clean five-year motor vehicle history and a valid Arizona Driver’s license.
A level one fingerprint clearance card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting
You are a star candidate if you have the above, and:
One-year post-secondary education leading to a degree in Social Work, Child Development or related field
Prior experience working with diverse youth populations that will prepare you to model the Agency’s expectation of sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awareness
CPI Certification or prior de-escalation and behavior management training
