The schedule for this position will be three 12 hour shifts, 7pm-7am
Night Shift Differential $5.75

The Ortho/Medical department is a 33-bed unit that has Orthopedic patients as well as General Medical patients. Our growing unit has established a great work culture that supports camaraderie, success, and professional growth for all of our staff. We have a 1:4-5 nurse to patient ratio during the days and 1:5-6 at night.
The patient population in our department is about 50% orthopedic knee, hip, shoulder and spine and 50% general medical including everything but acute cardiac or stroke. By caring for a mix of patient needs, we have a great opportunity to increase our skills. A successful team member will enjoy working at a fast pace, have strong critical thinking thinks, attention to detail, be a team player and a patient advocate.
Responsibilities:
As a Nurse you will assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. You will promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act, and demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Requirements:
- RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact, Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. - Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's
- BLS from the American Heart Association required
- One year of Nursing experience REQUIRED
- Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.
