What to expect:
This is an ongoing Quality Inspector position, part-time ~ 3 - 4 days per week on the first shift. You will be part of a global inspection team assuring the quality of components and assemblies that this global aerospace leader is sourcing from one or more suppliers in this area. Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client needs and each supplier’s production schedule.
What you’ll do:
- You will be conducting cable and wire harness inspections at our client's supplier(s) in the New England region
- Cable and Harness inspections and paperwork verification
- Detect defects on highly complex products
- Verify documentation packages to industry/commodity-specific standards and classify defect types
- Verify rework conducted during the time of the inspection
- Read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of hands-on inspection experience
- Knowledge and hands-on experience working with various inspection tools and methods
- Experience with Cables & Harnesses and IPC-620 is required. Experience with IPC-610 and PCBA is a plus.
- Experience with precision hand measuring tools.
- Be able to read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel.
Due to the nature of the products, US Citizenship is also a requirement and background checks are required.
