Day Shift Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

Overview: As an NDT Level II at Merrill Technologies Group, you are responsible for inspections and techniques to various industry codes and standards. In field services requiring great customer relation skills and ability to follow safety and quality standards while working independently. Candidates must be NADCAP certified.
Job Functions:
- Performing Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.
- Level II must be capable of interpreting welds made from various processes according to, but not limited to, ASME, ANSI, API, AWS codes, along with interpreting customer specifications.
- May be responsible for on-the-job training and guidance of Trainees and Assistants.
- Organize and report results.
- Ensure parts are inspected to the proper specifications.
- Daily production requirements as assigned.
- Ensuring high quality of workmanship.
- Maintaining personnel training logs and related testing information.
- Proper use of equipment and completion of daily logs, performance checks as assigned.
- Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Two (2) years of experience in technical and/or mechanical related position or related degree.
- OJT hours or previous Level II certification required - NADCAP certification required.
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude, experience in reading & understanding technical data and drawings
- Well organized with good communication abilities, industrious, hardworking, and possessing sound problem solving abilities.
- Must also be capable of passing vision/color testing.
- Preferences: Level II NDT Technician working in an aerospace related safety sensitive position must be capable of meeting: All specified requirements as specified in CFR 14 part 145.159 (as revised) for certified repairman. Also, the standards and requirements as established for an FAA approved drug & alcohol testing as administered by the employer for which the repairman certificate is being issued. Ultrasonic Testing and Radiographic Testing experience preferred.
