Responsibilities:
· 5-10 years’ experience in a general accounting experience, either in a public accounting firm or in a private corporate environment
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field
· Highly detail-oriented and organized
· Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
· Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
· Assist the Corporate Controller with the annual audit and other miscellaneous projects
· Document and monitor internal controls in support of auditing team
· Participates in the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, amortization schedules and consolidation / elimination entries
· Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
· Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
· Proficient in Excel
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
- Proficient in using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skill
