Clinical Nurse
FUNCTION: Under general direction, develops, implements, evaluates, and manages the care and education of patients; performs phone triage of patients; attends monthly staff development day.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides education and educational material to patients identified as benefiting from this level of care.

Assists in maintaining flow of patient care on multiple clinical levels
-
Serves as a clinical resource for medical assistants.

Evaluates results and monitors treatment plans; documents all interaction with patients.

Oversees/coordinates high risk patient appointments.

Maintains current certification through continuing education with the PA State Board of Nursing
-
Assists in assessing, developing, coordinating, and revising teaching programs for the medical staff.

Be punctual and professional at all times, especially when representing the agency at off-site locations.

Protect client and agency information at all times, adhering to agency Confidentiality Policy and Pennsylvania Act 148 as well as other laws governing privacy/disclosure.

Participate in supervision as scheduled, attend departmental meetings as scheduled and attend monthly General Staff Meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Graduate of an approved RN program, with bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; supplemented with two (2) years of related clinical nursing experience

PA RN licensure required.

The ability to efficiently move around a city location on a regular basis.

The ability to communicate using written and verbal or signed language.

The ability to lift objects greater than 35 pounds.

The ability to use a computer for up to 6 hours per day.

The ability to work in an environment with a moderate noise level, in an open cubicle setting.

Must have all necessary vaccinations pursuant to Mazzoni Center policies.

Background checks are required, including Criminal Background Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Clearance.
