Well-established CPA firm in Independence, Ohio is seeking an experienced Tax Manager. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the tax compliance and planning activities for our clients. You will work closely with clients to provide expert tax advice, ensure compliance with all tax regulations, and optimize their tax positions. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Desired Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax compliance and planning.
- CPA certification; or actively seeking certification.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax research and tax software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong client service orientation and business development skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, including strategies for minimizing tax liabilities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on new tax legislation and its impact on clients.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional client service and timely communication.
- Lead and mentor staff accountants, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax provision calculations.
- Participate in business development activities, including networking, proposal writing, and client presentations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
