Association Management Center seeks a Sales Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for securing industry funding, per AMC client budgets, by leveraging annual conference opportunities, supporting education initiatives (sponsored and CE), creation of Industry Relations Council (IRC), advertising, and strategic offerings with tactics centered around year-round engagement. Managers are also responsible for execution, and/or oversight, of deliverables such as exhibit hall management, program management of IRCs, etc. Sales Managers collaborate within the department, across AMC, as well as with industry partners, working to meet the collective needs of AMC clients.
This role is hybrid in Chicago, IL. Out of state candidates may be considered depending on their location.
Role Responsibilities

Strategize with clients and develop an integrated plan for revenue generation including projected budgets, expected expenses, promotional messaging, and materials, targeting, forecasting, and outcome assessment.

Implement sales plan, assess progress, and adjust as needed; Monitor and report out to clients and the VP of Strategic Events & Industry relations.

Understand and adhere to industry compliance guidelines and accreditation standards.

Partner and work collaboratively with the operations team ensuring the budget, prospectus and any sales program is understood, that all sales are accurately entered in salesforce, aligning with budget and reconciled; that the fulfillment of sales are progressing in an efficient and timely manner.
- Responsible for execution, and/or oversight, of deliverables such as exhibit hall management, program management of IRC, sponsorship and advertising fulfillment.
- Develop Board reports, presentations and present to the client Board as needed.
- Stay apprised of industry trends, utilize market research and analyze the competitive environment, sharing with team members and clients.

Work collaboratively with clients and vendors to prepare, monitor and manage client budgets related to sales revenue and expenses, reporting variances and proactively communicating across teams.

Responsible for creating the project management plan in collaboration with the sales/operations manager or coordinator and cross functional teams ensuring timeline and roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and adhered to.
- Contract (if applicable) and manage decorator and other vendor relationships
Experience and Skills:-
Bachelor's degree in business or related field

CEM Certification a plus.
- 5 years experience with a proven record of accomplishment of achieving sales goals and establishing new client relationships

Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, (Cadmium a plus)

Physical: Sitting, Walking, Standing, Manual Dexterity, Hearing and Seeing

Ability to travel 3-5 times per years, 5-7 days at a time. Ability to travel by all modes of transportation including car, plane and train.
