ROLE SUMMARY
Assemble mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment on a production line.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
- Use handheld tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, wire cutters and drills
- Perform soldering in a subassembly operation
- Maintain inventory of product in workstations
- Perform quality work checks to assure the product meets established standards
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
- Rework and/or repair according to engineering specification changes
- Contributes to team effort completing assigned tasks and seeking out new tasks to advance the team’s goals
- Able to work in lean, production environment completing tasks on time
- Communicates effectively with others and can function and get along in a team environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years mechanical assembly experience may be required
- Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to all team members and levels within the organization.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member occasionally works near moving mechanical parts inside the warehouse environment. Temperatures fluctuate from hot in the summer (fans provided) to cold in the winter (heaters provided).
