It operates fifteen plants in the U.S. and Mexico, and converts materials made by dozens of suppliers. Its customer base is a diverse mix of Tiers and OEMS in the automotive, cushioning, industrial, and medical industries.
Quality Engineer
Duties:
- Familiar with AIAG Core Tools and how to implement them
- Internal Auditing
- Process Flow Analysis and determination of 100% station
- Design fixtures, inspections gages, templates, etc... to aid manufacturing processes.
- Perform Risk Assessment for manufacturing operations
- Perform inspections of fabricated parts to ensure print compliance.
- Analyze existing production lines and/or tooling to identify problems and implement improvements/cost savings.
- Work with production to diagnose and correct problems as they arise.
- Assist with evaluation/testing of new equipment or tooling
- Assist with training employees to operate machinery and processes properly in an OJT setting and formal training setting.
- Participate on Safety Team
Skills:
Bachelor's Degree preferred in manufacturing or engineering.
- Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
- Well-motivated, Self-starter
- Be a team player with good communication skills.
- Be a well-organized and detail-oriented person who can work with minimal supervision.
- Have working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of measuring devices used to ensure product quality.
Experience:
- ISO-9000 or IATF-16949 environment
- Familiarity with GD&T principles
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
- Previous experience in manufacturing or quality assurance preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
