GENERAL SUMMARY/PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting CSG’s Critical Success Factors, 1) Safety First! 2) Financial Success (including operational excellence); 3) Employee Satisfaction (including development and training), and 4) Customer Satisfaction. Promote ESI Inc.’s Core Values, and safety culture. Primary duties include providing technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Quantity takeoff
- Quantity takeoff entry into estimating software
- Solicitation and review vendor and subcontractor quotations
- Review current material pricing levels
- Review and estimate addenda as required
- Visit site and/or attend site walk meeting
- Review bid/construction schedule
- Initial review of contract if included in bid documents
- Draft and submit proposal documents
- Follow post bid closeout procedures
- Attend weekly estimating team meetings
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Assisting senior estimators with Design Build and Design Assist projects
Minimum Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires the knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through the completion of an electrical training program. Two years technical school or business degree or equivalent combinations of education and estimating experience. Five years’ experience as electrical estimator preferable.
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated conceptual estimates and financial analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Electrical construction experience or construction management degree
- Estimator/Project supervisor
- Accubid/Live count Software preferred.
- Capable of using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam.
