Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The successful applicant will be expected to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Duties:
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during operations
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes in their condition
- Administer medications and fluids as ordered by physicians
- Perform physical examinations and assessments
- Insert intravenous lines and manage patient pain and discomfort
- Maintain aseptic techniques to prevent infection and promote patient safety
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans
- Provide senior care and memory care to patients who require these services
- Utilize electronic systems to manage patient information and communicate with other healthcare providers
- Perform physical examinations and assessments as part of patient care
Requirements:
- Current RN license
- Experience in the operating room and/or PICU
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and IV insertion
- Familiarity with dermal fillers and other injectables
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient care and safety
- Experience with home care and senior care
- Ability to use electronic systems to manage patient information
- Compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field
