ABOUT US: Community Services Foundation (CSF) provides the training and oversight of programs and services offered in managed housing community centers throughout the metropolitan Washington DC area. CSF coordinates partnerships that provide programs and services that have been identified by the owner and residents. CSF youth programs offer afterschool and summer enrichment activities that include homework assistance; STEAM (science technology, engineering, arts, and math) tutoring, digital literacy character education, health and wellness, journaling and public speaking, as well as services tailored to meet the needs of residents. CSF also offers adult programs that range from job readiness to social recreational activities.

Accounting Manager:
The Accounting Manager position helps support the fiscal functions of the Community Services Foundation (CSF) including the program and executive functions of the organization. Responsibilities include the creation of budgets (organization and grant budgets); the review of the monthly financial statements inclusive of the cyclical tasks stated below; liaison for the organization with the external accountant and auditor; and managing invoicing to properties and funders and accounts payable and receivable functions. The Financial Accounting Manager supervises the Accounting Clerks, Financial Administrative Assistant and/or Accounting Assistant.
The successful candidate is a mature, skilled individual who is self-motivated by achieving high levels of proficiency. The incumbent must exhibit strong analytical skills, organizational and follow-through skills.
Responsibilities:

Oversees the processing of all CSF and Site invoices and petty cash requests

Reviews financial statements and prepares journal entries to re-class expenses
-
Oversees the preparation of monthly owner fee invoices
-
Researches all past due invoices and reconciliation of requests as needed
-
Prepares property and grant budgets
-
Oversees the allocation of all deposits to the correct account code in the financials
-
Provides supporting documents for audits, ie., insurance audits, workmen’s comp, etc.

Other duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications:
Minimum associate degree in Business Administration / Accounting and two years of work experience.
Must have:

Fundamental skills in financial accounting

Able to maintain confidentiality of privileged information

Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Professional, MS Office Suite and Quickbooks

Ability to maintain timelines and meet deadlines
-
Professional demeanor
-
Experience in working with a non-profit, a plus
