Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Conduct oral health assessments and screenings
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for oral care
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Requirements:
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Experience working with patients of all ages is a plus
- Proficiency in computer skills, and digital x-ray software experience with open dental a plus
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform vital signs measurements and use aseptic techniques
