Branch Manager reports to: President of AMD
The Branch Manager is responsible for supervising and managing all day-to-day activities including sales, shipping, receiving, billing and manufacturing. Management of the branch begins with a top-down budget approach with monthly financial statement reviews and accountability. People management responsibilities include hiring and ongoing training of team members, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues and resolving problems to ensure that all staff comply with company policies and procedures.
- Work with management to set annual budget.
- Maintain adequate staff levels and provide training to all new staff on company processes and procedures.
- Assist with customer service to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Work to grow business by finding opportunities with existing and new customers.
- Work closely with Purchasing to maintain adequate inventory levels to maximize customer service and minimize slow moving items.
- Develop and maintain departmental procedures for all tasks that ensure work is completed on time and done in a manner that meets customer expectations and company policies.
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
- Mentor and coach the team and set the example for AMD's core values. Including enforcing and adhering to company policies and procedures to ensure they are consistently being followed.
- Assist in staffing needs, including interviewing potential candidates and coordinating with temporary staffing services as needed.
- Recommend measures to improve the quality of service and increase efficiency and productivity of branch.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Post-Secondary degree and five years of relevant management experience.
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements.
- Excellent math skills.
- Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Able to handle multiple high priority issues at the same time.
- Able to work constructively under stress and pressure.
- Able to treat employees fairly.
- Able to clearly outline the daily tasks and objectives for all staff.
- Able to provide constructive, timely feedback and coaching.

- Must possess a strong attention to detail.
- Related experience in the aluminum, fence, shutter industry.
- Familiarity with Netsuite ERP system.
- Experience with lean methodologies.
This position will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and loud noises. Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, stretch and lift in excess of 40lbs on a regular basis.
