Classroom Assistant Teacher
Hillel Preschool is currently seeking a caring and creative Assistant Teacher for summer camp and the upcoming 2024-25 school year. Typical hours for this position are 25 hours a week from 8:30AM to 1:30PM Monday to Friday. Additional hours are available during our extended day program.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting Lead Teacher in implementing curriculum and planning daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for young children.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, and physical needs as well as their educational needs
- Help the lead teacher maintain classroom and play area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
- Be willing to familiarize yourself and meet all state licensing, NAEYC standards, sanitation regulations and school philosophies.
Qualifications:
- Education (High School Diploma or GED and at least 18 years old)
- Experience of one year of working in an early childhood education preschool or center required
- NC Early Childhood Teaching Credential or equivalent preferred
- Coursework in early childhood education or child development preferred
- CPR/First Aid preferred
Salary: Starting at $16.00 per hour
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
