Summary:
As an Account Executive/Senior Sales Support Specialist at the McGowan Companies, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations and support of our Regional Sales team. The ideal candidate will possess strong insurance knowledge, organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work directly with both internal and external staff and customers in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General Tasks and Support
- Offer general sales support to include forwarding emails, locating information, or troubleshooting for the Regional Sales Managers and team leader as needed.
- Provide administrative support through McGowan’s various CRMs (including EPIC and Concept One).

- Marketing support; collaborate with the RSM and marketing team to create targeted campaigns in Salesforce.
Support the Regional Sales Managers
- Assist the sales team with daily tasks associated with broker support.
- Coordinate and prioritize sales-related tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
- Direct engagement with brokers in the assessment of submissions and sales opportunities.
Reporting and Analysis
- Generate reports for middle/upper management, showcasing sales figures and key performance indicators.
- Interpret sales reports, identify trends, and provide valuable insights.
- Analyze sales data to facilitate data-driven decision making.
- Collaborate with the RSM and marketing team to create targeted campaigns in Salesforce.
- Make marketing suggestions based on trends and analysis of the reports you generate.
- Perform tasks related to Salesforce administration.
- Provide administrative support for the organization’s Salesforce platform.
- Stay up to date on Salesforce capabilities through completing Trailhead modules regularly.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in sales support or a similar role.
- 5+ years of insurance experience.
- 3+ years of commercial lines of business experience.
- Active Property and Casualty license.
- Client-facing and customer service background.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours a week.
Schedule: 8:15am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.
- Occasional evenings as needed to accommodate different RSM time zones.
