Lynn Implement Repair is an independent Ag equipment repair shop that primarily services John Deere Equipment. Lynn has been serving the farming community for several decades. Our technicians work on both newer and older ag equipment. Our highly skilled technicians stay current with newer technology and have access to all the new specialty tools, computers, resources and continuing education. We are looking for experienced Ag Diesel Mechanics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience as a tractor, combine, planter or baler technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing agriculture equipment, as well as performing preventative maintenance and making necessary repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, and able to work independently. Candidate must have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, integrity and are honest and trustworthy. Must pay attention to detail and produce quality work. A qualified applicant must also have a personal set of tools, valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Responsibilities:
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in repair of agriculture equipment
- Independently performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on ag equipment
- Participates in training programs for the development of skills and knowledge
- Maintains current knowledge of Ag equipment
- Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- Eager to welcome and help customers
- A contributing team player that wants to help
- Accounts for all time and for all material used in performing assigned duties
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly, maneuver in uncomfortable positions at times to perform repairs.
- Stand for long periods of time
- May perform diagnosis and repair in the field
- Ability to use basic computer functions
- Service Advisor knowledge
- A minimum of 2 year Associates degree in diesel technology, a related degree, or equivalent work experience
- Represent Lynn as a professional Service Technician at all times
