Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate EMTs and Firefighters to join our team in playing a pivotal role in providing safe, reliable, and exceptional patient care in a non-emergency environment throughout Cobb, Douglas, Fulton, and Paulding county. Checks and maintains all vehicles and ambulance equipment, ensuring clean and proper working conditions. Maintains compliance with all State of Georgia EMS rules and regulations, alomg with all company required licenses and certifications for an EMT position. Follow all company policies and procedures including company medical director approved protocols and standing orders. Must hold a valid Georgia Driver’s License. Must attend mandatory training in addition to all EMT required courses.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently transport patients to medical appointments, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients during transportation.
- Perform necessary assessments and administer basic medical care when required.
- Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of the ambulance and medical equipment.
- Ensures vehicle placed in-service comply with required laws, rules license, and regulations as outlined by the State of Georgia and other authorized agencies.
- Prepares and completes appropriate reports including Patient Care Reports (PCR), billing, exposure reports, incident reports, daily, weekly and monthly unit check offs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all HTM policies, procedures, medical protocols, safety procedures, directives, and standards.
- Continuously improve your skills and knowledge through training and professional development.
- Prompt and regular attendance at work and mandatory meetings.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Georgia EMT License
- BLS Certification
- Active CPR certification
- Current State Drivers License
- Clean driving record
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassion and empathy for patients
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and requires little supervision and direction.
