1st position covers Brooklyn, Manhattan and Bronx
2nd position covers Long Island and Queens
However, both must be flexible in case they are asked to see patients outside their region
A private medical wound care company is seeking dedicated, compassioned, reliable and detailoriented Medical Assistants for New York and New Jersey to join our team. In this role you will perform both routine clinical and administrative duties in a timely manner and must be willing to travel to multiple locations in either the New York or New Jersey areas. This position requires excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn more about a mobile wound care environment and an excellent teamwork mentality.
Responsibilities:
● Assist Physicians and/or Nurse Practitioners (NPs) during patient visits in completing patient care and support duties.
● May also perform in-home visits for wound care on site on own.
● Discuss with the family wound care and dressings and the process of care. ● Be available for urgent calls regarding patient care.
● Input and sign patient assessments, documentation, and notes within 24 hours.
● Input in Monday.com all patient treatment plans at time of visit.
● Participate in weekly virtual continued education programs (as needed).
● Review wound progress on a weekly basis or as needed with Providers.
● Collaborate and coordinate with the other MAs, RNs, and Providers.
● Perform dressing changes as needed and/or ordered per Provider(s) and POC.
● Coordinate patient care with assigned CHHAs, if applicable.
● Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- An Associate degree. Bachelor degree preferred.
- CCMA Certificate
- 2+ years of experience in a specific medical field and/or medical office
- Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Professional and excellent bedside manners
- Patient/customer focus
- Team player
Working hours are 9 am – 5 pm, Mondays-Fridays
Salary range - $70,000 - $90,000/year based on experience
