HVAC Sales/Account Manager - Commercial Construction
J.R. Hobbs is a leading mechanical contractor providing design, project management and install to specification HVAC systems in the multi-family and commercial new construction industry. We have 100+ active new construction projects in nine different states throughout the Southeast. For over 50 years, Hobbs has been a leader in the construction and mechanical services industry.
Role summary:
• Requires a driven, motivated inside sales/account management/business development professional that can interact with the customer during all phases of construction bidding process.
• Foster and develop relationships as the account management representative.
• Provide business development opportunities for the Hobbs organization.
• Serve as a post-job-award resource/account manager to the Preconstruction, Project Management and operations teams to answer questions about the awarded bid content. Foster and develop client relations.
- Lead our Commercial Sales team responsible for bidding and winning work in accordance with our annual plan.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of estimates and sales of projects as necessary to perpetuate this department. Responsible for estimating and overseeing projects while contributing to revenue and profitability.
- Ability to read blueprints and/or construction schematics is required.
- Oversee the estimating process for the Commercial division ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness of bids.
- Work in conjunction with the Commercial Operations manager to develop our market strategy.
- Execute our market strategy to ensure bid volume and win rates are met, adjust plan as needed.
- Develop customer relationships and sourcing strategies to support business development initiatives.
- Formulate and execute Key Account plans to support repeat business with our most desired customers.
- Participate in Annual Planning process and developing sales forecasts for annual budgets.
- Responsible for bid status updates and formulating win strategies to close deals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Proven track record in commercial sales and account management
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in B2B sales and business development
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software
- Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs
- Familiarity with HVAC technology and systems
- Warm calling experience is a plus
