Job Description: Audio Visual Warehouse Lead
The Audio-Visual Warehouse Lead is integral to ensuring the efficient preparation, loading, and delivery of audio-visual (AV) equipment for events. This role is crucial for maintaining equipment standards, overseeing the receipt of returned shipments, and ensuring the quality control (QC) process is upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Organization: Ensure the warehouse is well-organized to facilitate smooth operations and quick access to equipment.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including regular trash disposal (weekly or as needed).
- Quality Control: Perform thorough quality checks on all AV equipment, ensuring the QC process is consistently followed and standards are met.
- Event Preparation: Efficiently prepare all necessary equipment and materials for events and property needs.
- Loading/Unloading: Manage the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring all items are handled safely and efficiently.
- Receiving Shipments: Oversee the receipt of sub-rentals and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Logistics Support: Collaborate with the Logistics Director on logistics planning and execution, providing essential support for seamless operations.
- Equipment Management: Conduct regular equipment counts, monitor equipment lifecycles, and perform maintenance tasks as directed by the Logistics Director.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure company and rental vehicles are properly maintained and ready for use.
- Purchase Orders: Create and manage purchase orders for necessary warehouse expenses.
- Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
Detailed Tasks
Inventory Management:
- Track inventory levels and report discrepancies to management.
- Implement efficient inventory management practices to minimize losses and optimize stock levels.
Shipping and Receiving:
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of sub-rentals and other materials.
- Verify and inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Manage outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of equipment for events.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Schedule regular maintenance and inspections for all equipment.
- Document and report any equipment malfunctions or damage.
- Implement a preventive maintenance schedule to ensure equipment longevity and reliability.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for warehouse staff.
- Maintain accurate records of safety procedures and incidents.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring all team members are competent in their roles.
- Delegate tasks efficiently to optimize team productivity.
- Provide feedback and conduct performance evaluations for warehouse personnel.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities, including inventory levels, equipment maintenance, and shipments.
- Prepare regular reports for the Logistics Director on warehouse operations and performance metrics.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse activities.
Requirements
- 3 years of Audio-Visual experience
- Thorough knowledge of audio-visual equipment, set-up and operations including basic skills in the fields of audio, video and lighting including but not limited to; mixing equipment, lighting tools, cameras, microphones, projectors and video recorders, amplifiers and spotlights
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required for team members in positions that may operate Company vehicles.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting: Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more, in line with the average weight of equipment.
- Mobility: Ability to move and handle various types of equipment and materials.
Work Location
- Primary: Corporate office.
- Travel: May be required to travel for event support, covering shifts, or assisting at properties due to lean staffing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
