Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee our daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive our team towards achieving company goals. This role involves managing field technicians and office staff, assisting in sales, handling follow-ups, and ordering garage doors. Our preferred candidate is someone who has been in the construction/home-service industry, strong leader and motivator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate field technicians and office staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Implement and monitor performance metrics for the team.
- Handle recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Sales and Customer Service:
- Assist in sales processes and follow-ups with potential and existing customers.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business.
- Inventory and Order Management:
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of garage doors and parts.
- Coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Monitor and control inventory costs.
- Financial Oversight:
- Assist in budget preparation and expense management.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven managerial experience in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in inventory management and order processing.
- Experience in sales and customer service.
- Knowledge of garage door products and services is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in the service industry.
