Summary
The Senior Production Manager should be experienced in furniture design, self-motivated with an eye for detail and can lead and mentor a production team. The Senior Manager will need to collaborate with showrooms, designers and vendors on multiple levels and projects. In addition, they will work with the owners in creating new designs and implementation of projects and new developments. They will be responsible for sourcing new vendors, materials, working on custom designs, working with CAD developers in producing DFA’s, furniture design, specifications, and structure, in addition to maintaining relationships, project timelines and controlling cost. The individual must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, while motivating and monitoring production teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage in-house production, purchasing, inventory, and quality control
- Direct vendor production of standard and custom pieces
- Direct status checks, inspection of items throughout stages of production, corrections, repairs, and revisions
- Ensure Odoo ERP and network systems are accurate and up to date for all product and orders
- Coordinate with owners and R&D on new designs, product lines, manufacturing and finish techniques, etc.
- Source new vendors, factories, materials, innovations, etc.
- Manage customer service, RMA, resolutions, etc.
- Manage team of production professionals: screen candidates, create training plans, mentor, monitor activity, productivity and progress, assign duties, set goals, conduct performance evaluations, etc.
- Continually develop and apply knowledge of interior design, FF&A design, furniture engineering, finishes (paint, stain, gold leaf, faux ivory, faux marble, etc.), manufacturing and production, product development, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Four year degree or equivalent
- 10 years experience as production manager in furniture, fixtures, and accessories manufacturing
- In depth knowledge of classic furniture, fixtures and accessories, furniture fabrication, wood types, paint and stain finishing techniques, 24k gold leafing and gilding, carving techniques, upholstering techniques, antique reproduction, CAD, furniture engineering, customization, product development, etc.
- Ability to effectively manage a team of production professionals and their execution of orders

Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
