Well-known luxury jewelry company seeking Inventory Manager who has experience managing a team (A MUST.)
This individual will be managing the corporate office so they must come from a luxury jewelry background, with wholesale and inventory experience from the corporate side of the business versus a retail path. They must have significant experience managing people as well as possess extensive jewelry experience and knowledge.
The management piece is as important if not more important than the inventory piece.
Duties:
- Manage a team of 4 to 10 people.
- Oversee and manage inventory purchasing, control and allocation, including entering inventory, shipping, receiving, and order placement and fulfillment.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and ensure accurate tracking of materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production planning and e-commerce, to ensure timely and efficient inventory management.
- Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to maintain adequate stock levels and negotiate favorable contract terms.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for inventory management processes.
- Lead a team of inventory associates, providing guidance and support to ensure departmental goals are met.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing a team.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a relate field.
- Proven experience in inventory management.
- Strong knowledge of materials management principles and practices
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis related to inventory control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
