Position Title: A/V Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Fine Arts
Status: Full-Time
Work Schedule: M-F (7:30 AM-4:00 PM) and varies
Position Purpose:
- Equipment Setup and Operation: Proactively lead and coordinate the set up, operations, and troubleshooting of all campus audiovisual equipment, projectors, sound systems, and other peripherals for for meetings, presentations, events, and classroom usage.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support to TWCA users experiencing issues with A/V equipment and systems, both on-site and remotely. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems promptly to ensure minimal disruption.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repairs of A/V equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Coordinate with vendors for warranty repairs and equipment replacements when necessary. Maintain accurate records of AV equipment inventory, service logs, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides. Document technical specifications, configurations, and setup instructions for reference purposes.
- Event Support: Lead or coordinate the setup, operation, and teardown of A/V equipment for TWCA events, conferences, lectures, and other special occasions. Provide on-site support during events to address technical issues and ensure smooth operation.
- User Training: Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users on how to use A/V equipment and software effectively. Provide guidance on best practices for presentation delivery, audio recording, video conferencing, and multimedia production.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with faculty and staff, and other stakeholders to coordinate A/V support services and integration with existing infrastructure. Lead A/V system upgrades, installations, and renovations.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the A/V industry through training programs, certifications, and industry conferences. Continuously expand knowledge and skills in areas such as digital signage, streaming media, virtual reality, and augmented reality.

Qualifications:
- College degree and 3-5 years technical theater experience required.
- Team-player with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience and operational knowledge of production software (e.g. QLab, ProPresenter) and production boards (e.g. Allen & Heath, Dante, and Road Hog light boards).
- Knowledge of theater industry safety standards, rules, and regulations.
- Knowledge of stage management principles and practices; strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Experience in lighting design, rigging implementation; carpentry and scenic design skills.
- Availability to work varied hours in a school environment subject to constant change.
- Pedagogical skills a plus.
- Must be flexible.
- Must be a committed follower of Christ.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
The ideal candidate can:
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work in standard office conditions and climate.
- Work in varied extreme outside weather conditions during special activities and fundraising events, as needed.
- Perform in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
- Sit and stand for extended periods of time; bend, stoop, climb stairs, and reach overhead.
- Hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels, outdoors and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors, and on the telephone.
