As a Support Partner (DSP) you will be providing direct support in partnership with people with disabilities, on a one-to-one basis, in their own homes and communities. Services include that of community involvement and/or accommodation with activities of daily living including personal care, communication, transportation and recreation.
We are hiring a part-time position in West Chester!
SCHEDULE:
Monday and Wednesday: 2P-9P
Saturday OR Sunday: 6 hour shift - flexible daytime
This position entails providing direct support to a kind-hearted man living in West Chester. He enjoys telling jokes, superheroes, video games, celebrating holidays, bowling, working out at the YMCA, and is involved in Special Olympics. He seeks someone with a calm demeanor, excellent communication skills, and who can adapt to change easily. He needs support in the area of basic computer skills, preparing easy meals, maintaining a routine, independent living skills. Knowledge of the community is important in helping this person find meaningful activities.
● A high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year experience supporting people to live in the community
● Possession of a valid driver's license with a safe driving record
● Access to a reliable vehicle, proof of current vehicle registration, inspection, and insurance
● 18 years of age or older
● Be or willing to be Covid-19 Vaccinated prior to employment
