AWL Industries, Inc., an authorized Distech Controls Systems Integrator, is actively seeking a talented HVAC Applications Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Job Description:
As an HVAC Applications Engineer, you will:
-Design HVAC temperature control systems in accordance with contract plans and specs.
-Develop comprehensive submittal packages based on the interpretation of scope, equipment schedules, and specifications.
-Program and develop controller logic and graphical user interfaces for building automation systems.
-Perform on-site engineering-level commissioning and start-up.
-Serve as a technical resource for Project Managers and technicians.
-Review and interpret HVAC plans, equipment schedules, and specifications.
-Assist in cost estimating for HVAC Controls during the presales phase.
-Participate in the product selection process.
-Review customer requests for special product requirements.
-Conduct end-user training and turnover of completed systems.
-Prepare documentation, including field changes for As-Built records, Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
-Distech Controls experience.
-Tridium Niagara 4 Certification.
-LON, BACnet, Modbus protocols expertise.
-In-depth knowledge of HVAC automatic temperature controls and building automation systems.
-Experience with AutoCAD and MS Visio.
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
-Excellent multitasking abilities to meet schedules and deadlines set by leadership.
-A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical, and a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
-Flexibility to work outside normal work hours and willingness to work overtime as needed.
-A valid driver’s license.
