Job Description
We are looking for bright, fun, and charismatic individuals, educators, and graduate students with a passion for tutoring and mentoring students in K-12th grade who are seeking flexible work opportunities on the weekdays and weekends for competitive pay. Opportunities can be scheduled around other regular commitments such as graduate school, jobs, etc.
** those with experience in the following will be given priority: Math (Calculus), Science (Chemistry, Physics), ISEE Test Prep, ACT, SAT **
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE/VIRTUAL POSITION.
Requirements
- Part-Time hours, flexible (usually after school hours 3 pm-9 pm)
- Work with great students K through 12th grade 1:1 in their home, in person
- Educational and/or tutoring, coaching, mentoring experience
- Must understand how to build and maintain strong rapport with students and families
- Can commit to 1 school year working with us
- Bachelor's degree required | Educational or Psychological Degree Preferred
- Pass a background check
Pay:
$30-45/hour

Founded in 2006, Staying Ahead of the Game LLC is one of the largest local academic coaching and tutoring organization supporting K-12th grade students in the Greater Houston Area. Our unique approach blends traditional tutoring support with executive functioning skills support. We help students and families from some of the most elite schools in the Greater Houston Area. We offer in-person services primarily in client homes all over the city, but clients may choose to meet at our office located in Bellaire.
