Equestrian Attendant / Riding Instructor position at Salamander Middleburg- Triple Star Luxury Resort located in Middleburg, VA

Responsibilities:
Full Care of Resort Horses:

Grooming, bathing, exercising, and basic first aid.

Tack care and cleaning.

Stables chores (stalls, field cleaning, watering).

Facility upkeep.

Customer Service and Riding Instruction:

Provide excellent customer service to guests.
-
Teach riding lessons to a variety of skill levels, ages, and disciplines.

Front and rear guiding of group and private trail rides on the resort property.

Children’s Programs:
-
Facilitate pony rides and other children’s programs.
Safety and UTV Operation:
-
Extremely safety-conscious and practices safe habits.
-
Drives a small utility terrain vehicle (UTV).

Additional Duties:
-
Perform other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Training:
-
Attend hospitality and luxury standards training classes.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
-
High School diploma or equivalent.
-
Must be 18 years of age or older.
-
Minimum of five years of experience working and riding in a professional setting.
-
Experience teaching riding lessons to beginners through intermediate riders.
-
Customer service experience.
-
Knowledge of correct, classical riding/teaching, and high-quality horsemanship standards, or an open willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds.
