Job Description
The Maritime Market is seeking a Line Cook with the initiative and work ethic to support our culinary efforts both in-store, and in our Catering operation. The successful candidate will be dependable, adaptive, and a hard working team player. They will hold a professional demeanor that is necessary to work with a highly diversified group of customers and staff. You will report directly to the Head Chef, and you’ll be maintaining our day to day operations, keeping a clean kitchen, ensuring product quality, and working occasional evenings at our catered events.

Essential Functions:
- Prepare all the food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Follow recipes, control portion size, and presentation specifications as set by the Head Chef.
- Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
- Track and report any food waste.
- Handle, store, and rotate all the products properly.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Complete assigned tasks such as putting up stock from vendors, inventory count, additional cleaning or maintenance of items in the kitchen.
- Understand orders and basic culinary skills while working swiftly and efficiently.
- Work well under emergency situations and in a group setting.
- Responsible for performing other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or general manager of the store.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
