The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for our premium antibiotic free and organic turkey products. This role will involve working with the President of the company to create sales targets. This person will strive to foster relationships with new and existing clients and partners. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales development within the food industry and, preferably, an understanding of and passion for organic and sustainable products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company goals and objectives.
-Aggressively identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s market presence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to form, revise and strengthen sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the production, shipping, and quality departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to the executive team.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales; 5 years in food industry
- Experience with organic or sustainable products, is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel as required.
