A Machine Operator works with a staff to make and assemble a product. We have various responsibilities like metal stamping, coin press, thermoforming, packing and powder-coating that would be part of the responsibilities. The position requires using both hands and feet to control machinery, and the Machine Operator must maintain concentration on the work being done. The Machine Operator will be responsible for completing all required training and developing skills that are related to their position.
Hourly range - $19 - $23.00/hr
Operations Job Responsibilities:

Set up, change-over and operate machines inclusive of (1) tray machine (2) coater (3) punch presses. Other machines and applications are not added but are also required.

Fabricate , fill and complete parts boxes for customers orders. Prepares orders for shipment.

Bends, forms, or assembles products to specifications as required using manual and automatic equipment such as punch presses, brake press machine, spot/production welding, tray machine, etc.

Perform / oversee quality visual checks as it relates to finished products & informs Operations Manager of any deficiencies

Refers unusual problems to the operations manager.

Keeps the work area clean and organized.

Performs light machine maintenance, change-over and general housekeeping.

Comply with all safety and health regulations

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Machine Operator Qualifications / Skills:

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractures and decimals. Ability to compute rates.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical ability to lift up-to 50 pounds and to stand or walk for long periods of time

Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary)
