Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools
- Use power tools and hand tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble engine components
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working in the shop or on-site
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used
- Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to ensure efficient workflow
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel engine technology
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel, electrical, cooling, and exhaust systems
- Familiarity with dealership service procedures and standards
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, bending)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
