Job: Drywall Finisher-Crew Member- Production Construction
Job description:
AVA is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team. As a Drywall Finisher you will be responsible for applying joint compound and tape to seams. You will ensure that surfaces are smooth and ready for painting or other finishes. You must be knowledgeable in safety practices and skilled in using your hands and power tools. A strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in our environment is a must in our crew-based operation.
Responsibilities:
1. Install and finish Drywall on kitchen, bath and other interior walls.
2. Skim coating, patching and ability to sand and finish drywall.
3. Finishing of seams and flats on walls and ceilings.
4. Use of automatic taping tools.
5. Ability to assist the setting team throughout the work day.
6. Maintain a clean and safe work space.
Qualifications:
1. Familiarity with hand and power tools and equipment
2. Deadline and detail oriented.
3. Ability to work in a team and perform duties.
4. Ability to handle a consistent physical workload.
Physical Requirements:
1. Must possess the physical agility to move quickly and efficiently while applying joint compound and tape to seams and corners.
2. Must have the strength to hold and maneuver drywall tools for extended periods while finishing joints and smoothing surfaces.
3. Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel while working on lower areas of walls and ceilings.
4. Must possess manual dexterity to apply joint compound evenly and smoothly and to handle taping and finishing tools with precision.
5. Must have the coordination to create seamless transitions between drywall panels and to blend joint compound for a uniform finish.
6. Must be able to climb ladders or use stilts to reach higher areas for taping and finishing.
7. Must have the endurance to work for extended periods, often in physically demanding positions, to complete drywall finishing projects.
8. Must be comfortable working in dusty environments and wearing respiratory protection when necessary.
9. Must possess the stamina to work efficiently and effectively to meet project deadlines.
10. Must have good balance and stability to work safely on ladders, elevated surfaces, scaffolding and while using stilts.
11. Must be able to withstand exposure to drywall dust, joint compound, and other construction-related materials.
Job Footer:
