Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team in our Canton, MA location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the construction industry, and will play a crucial role in our financial operations and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
Responsibilities include:
- Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Staff Accountant.
- Ensure current good standing status in states where the company has established Nexus.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and address any unusual variances.
- Maintain subledgers and/or supporting schedules for Balance Sheet accounts.
- Track Project expenses to ensure proper allocation of costs.
- Work Closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Purchasing departments to ensure appropriate flow of financial data to support business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local tax regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Financial Statements.
- Support Controller with Mid-Year and Year-End Reviews by external entities.
- Handle ad hoc projects as assigned by the Owner or Controller.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Cloude-Suite Industrial preferred).
- Proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Familiarity with construction contract management a plus.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
