Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and accurate Press Brake Operator for our Amada HRB 1003 press brake machines.
An ideal candidate will have knowledge of setting up the tooling for the brake, troubleshooting issues, and providing feedback on improving the design process. Duties will also include removing parts from our punch/laser machine and helping out wherever needed. We are willing to train an ideal candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to set-up and operate the Press Brake
- Run bend and form operations using standard and custom punches.
- Check height, depth and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges and other precision-measuring instruments.
- Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake.
- Work with tight tolerances.
- Bend and form the product using the sequence indicated.
- Meet specifications and delivery requirements.
- Perform spot inspections of parts.
- Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
- Complete and maintain paperwork.
- Identify assembly parts.
- Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless and aluminum).
- Check machine for defects and repair if necessary.
- Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned.
- Read drawings and blueprints, comprehend, follow and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents;
- Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in industries where precision and accuracy are paramount.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to upholding quality standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is desirable.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years previous experience with Press Brake Operations
- Experience on an Amada HRB is a plus
- Regularly lift, push or pull up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Stand for long periods of time
- Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
