PAY RATE: $11.00-14.00/hr (DOE/M) +Tips (tips currently averaging at $4.50/hr)
Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of the Shift Manager (SM), Crew Members are responsible multi-taking efficiently in a high energy environment. While on shift, tasks may include: register, sandwich building, cleaning, restocking, food preparation, lobby service and more. Crew Members are expected to maintain quality customer service throughout their shift, regardless of environmental changes, and produce this service at an efficient pace. Crew Members must manage their workload and prioritize tasks independently, and perform other duties as required by the Shift Manager. Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a food service setting, including: standing for prolonged periods of time, regularly stooping/bending/kneeling/ crouching/reaching/twisting/etc., and occasionally lifting/carrying/ pushing/pulling light to moderate amounts of weight. Crew Members must maintain strong familiarity with (and unflinchingly abide by) company policies/procedures, and city/county/ state/federal laws regulating labor management and the preparation/distribution of food/beverage products. Crew Members are responsible for behaving as the face of Gandolfo’s Deli, and for delivering positive experiences to all guests at all times.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Arrives on-time, groomed, in uniform and ready to work every shift
- Learns quickly, can pivots tasks and is self-motivating at all times
- Memorizes recipes and produces orders with quality and efficiency
- Learns to proficiently operate/maintain applicable equipment
- Engages guests by selling food/drinks w/accurate/enticing descriptions
- Develops rapport with staff/guests; knows regulars by name and order
- Maintains a clean, organized restaurant during all hours of operation
- Maintains active ServSafe Food Handler's Certification (must obtain within 60 days of hire date)
