Our key client in the medical device industry is looking for additional members for their team. We have a Test Engineer III on the team.
Pay Rate: $50.00-$60.00/hour on W2
Work Type: Onsite – Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duration: 6-month contract (with possible extension)
Job Overview:
- This position will play a technical role in developing a surgical robot system.
- The engineer will be expected to work with a team of test engineers and software developers to be responsible for software V&V activities and will be required to design, develop, and execute test protocols for functional SW verification of complex robotic surgical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and oversee the execution of test protocols for functional SW verification for intricate robotic surgical systems.
- May execute test protocols hands-on or in the Test Management Application.
- Complete documentation for test protocols, results, and reports.
- As appropriate, develop tests and scripts that automate the testing process at a system level.
- Develop SW tests in Python or other scripting languages at a module level as appropriate.
- Log issues found within the issue tracking system.
- Work with software and cross-functional teams to debug.
- Perform ongoing testing for basic sanity and release acceptance testing.
- Perform issue verification during formal verification.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, ME, BioE, or related fields preferred or commensurate experience.
- Ability to work with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Troubleshooting mindset, ability to systematically and effectively break down a system or process into subparts to identify failure mechanisms.
- Engineering/SQA/Software Test background with demonstrated judgment in V&V execution.
- Great communication skills (written/oral).
- Attention to Detail.
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience with complex embedded systems/robotics and real-time operating systems, and/or experience with Linux and QNX.
- Experience with Medical Design Control processes.
- Experience with Bug Tracking tools.
- Experience with Requirements Management Tools.
- Experience with Test Management Tools.
- SW programming background (C or C++).
- Experience with automated test tools.
- Experience with scripting for the generation of automated tests.
