Overview:
The HR Manager is responsible for the day-to-day human resources operations, enhance the organization's human resources function by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations, HR policies, programs and practices. The function of this HR Manager role is to shape the performance and development systems for all employees, designing and supporting the company talent frameworks including performance management, succession planning and workforce/human resource planning whilst guiding and managing Human Resources functions of the company.

The preferred candidate will be a versatile, diverse and experienced HR generalist who has a proven successful record for leading and delivering all aspects of Human Resources with dedication and passion, while keeping up-to-date with changes in employment legislation. They will bring expertise in talent management , are driven to deliver exceptional results, and will use effective people skills to ensure good relationships with all employees and external contacts.
He/she will ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and provincial requirements; conduct investigations and maintain the records.
The role will be responsible for all HR management and development (including recruitment and selection, policy/practices, discipline. grievance, mentoring, salary and conditions, contracts, training and development , talent management, succession planning, driving performance appraisals and any other HR related issues)
- Recruitment - The HR Manager will manage all recruitment needs for the company, including implementing and continually developing an effective recruitment & selection process. They will oversee the day-to-day management of the recruitment process, including reviewing job descriptions , advertising, and selection of resumes/applications , holding interviews and selecting candidates. He/she will also create and continuously improve offer letters and contracts of employment and manage hiring process.
- Training - Individual will manage a training plan that details required training that is delivered within the agreed/specific timeline and ensure outcomes are appropriately measured and reported on. He/she will develop training and communication materials to support the learning and development needs of employees and ensure that training activities meet and integrate with company strategies and policies. The HR Manager will also support the delivery and execution of HR programs and participate in coaching and guidance in cross functional initiatives as it relates to performance management, compensation, training and employee relations.
- Health & Safety - HR Manager will implement and maintain health & safety preventative and corrective policies and procedures in compliance with company Health & Safety policies. The individual is also responsible for investigating injuries, accidents and instances of work-related illness and documenting such instances for company records.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years management experience in Human Resources preferably in a manufacturing environment with health & safety responsibility
- Knowledge of HR labor and employment laws, and the ability to interpret, apply and articulate this knowledge in support of business initiatives.
- Excellent IT skills: competency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email and database software
- Ability to build and develop relationships with internal employees, strategic partners and other external parties/organizations; able to resolve conflict
- Experience of designing and delivering coaching/mentoring, learning & development and talent management programs
- Must demonstrate strong analytical skills with well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to demonstrate being self-directed, resourceful and creative; able to manage own time and work autonomously
- Experience of designing and writing HR policies, procedures. offers and contracts of employment
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Encourage and promote positive and effective employee relations with the workforce through communications initiatives, and monitoring employee satisfaction.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
