Job Description
Goddard Consulting LLC is currently seeking a Mid to Senior Wetland Scientist/Project Manager to support our growing natural resource practice in either our Palmer or Northboro offices. At this position, you will both manage your own projects and clients as well as work with our team of similar professionals on larger projects or utilize junior staff for work on your project portfolio. As a project manager, you execute all aspects of projects under your portfolio and work with the guidance of a company Principal or Senior Project Manager. As a Senior Project Manager you will manage your own workload of more technical or specialized work as well as oversee the work of several Project Managers and coordinate teams on larger projects. You will be expected to work on projects from the proposal phase, developing and managing clients, executing or overseeing the technical work, managing the financial aspects of the project and representing Goddard to the clients, regulators and public.
Key Duties
- Managing own projects, delegating to, and overseeing work of, junior staff
- Senior Level - managing teams and delegating to other staff, managing multiple projects, some complex and multi-phase, in addition to executing day to day technical work where needed.
- Excellent at performing internal, regulatory and client communications
- Performing wetland delineations, wetland permitting (NOI, 401/404)
- MEPA Experience a plus
- Senior Level - providing business development support as needed
- Preparing proposals and authoring and developing wetland permits
- Representing clients and Goddard at public and regulatory meetings
- Managing project finances and budgets
- Conducting external networking and marketing to help grow the practice
- Managing and mentoring junior staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related Environmental Science or similar discipline (MS Degree Preferred)
- Direct experience in wetland delineation, regulations and functions and values
- Ability to read and interpret site plans
- 5 -15 years’ experience and knowledge of state and local wetland regulations
- Experience working with contractors
- Self-starter, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and direction
- Demonstrates professional judgment with strong attention to detail
- History of high-quality work products and feedback
- Highly organized with strong written and oral communication skills
- Doer-seller attitude
- Experience preparing well written reports within budget
- Experience in successfully advocating and/or negotiating with regulatory agencies in favor of client interests
- PWS preferred, but will train the right person

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
