Under the general supervision of the President, the virtual Chief Information Officer’s (vCIO’s) role
is to provide planning, budgeting, and strategic direction to our clients in relation to their information technology systems. This position focuses primarily on the business relationship with the client and leveraging Virtual IT’s technical resources to improve their operational efficiencies. Client satisfaction, contract renewals and discovering additional opportunities fall under the realm of the vCIO.
At the core of the vCIO role are 4 key areas:

· Strategic technology budgeting and road mapping
· Digital transformation
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manages relationships with principals, owners, and key stakeholders in client organizations.
· Manage the new client on-boarding process and participate when necessary.
· Deliver monthly reports around the IT Support Services provided and health of the IT infrastructure.
· Provide a quarterly business review with clients regarding the IT plan, budget progress, services provided and their overall satisfaction.
· Maintain communication with Virtual IT’s Support Department to be aware of issues and trends regarding Support Services.
· Educates and consults with clients on technology trends, risks, and opportunities.
· Develop an assessment of the current environment, annual strategic technology plan and budget for each client.
· Lead technical discussions with Virtual IT’s team as it relates to the client’s business and technology roadmap.
· Continuously work to provide clients with the right technology to accomplish business goals, and objectives utilizing Virtual IT’s service lines or other third-party services.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Related experience managing IT in the SMB market for an MSP (Managed Service Provider)
· Experience with MSP applications, tools, and techniques.
· A thorough knowledge of Microsoft solutions, IT solutions, and cloud services
· Knowledge of the IT budget process
· A firm understanding of the planning, quoting, and management of projects to bring them to completion on time and within budget.
· Proven knowledge of IT and security best practices in the SMB market
