We are in search of a team of Principal Data Scientists to develop and integrate advanced AI/ML models and enhance decision support tools through predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, and free text query capabilities. The Data Scientist will establish an initial operating capability (IOC) in a data laboratory and collaborative space comprised of Government (military and DoD Civilian) logistics subject matter experts and data scientists . This will include
KEY SKILLS:
- Programming experience: Python, JavaScript, and/or Java.
- AI/ML: ML Model Development, ML Operations (MLOps), Applied Data Science
- Tools & Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, Keras, Hugging Face Transformers.
- Modern software architectures: micro-services and front-end frameworks.
- Agile methodologies: Agile software development methodologies and tools.
- Synthesis and recommendation: Establishing workflows, processes, identifying software/hardware requirements, obtaining access to data feeds, and securing required licenses.
- Strong communication skills: engage with members inside & outside of team.
- Team collaboration: work with cross-functional teams.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
- DevSecOps experience.
- DODD 8140 IAT Level III: active CISSP, GSE, CASP+, CISM, or CISA certification.
- Familiarity with DoD project management processes and frameworks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in AI/ML, particularly in developing predictive models and deep learning algorithms.
- Strong background in programming, software engineering, and data science.
- Familiarity with logistics frameworks such as LOGCOP, JOPES, and Service Components Readiness Systems.
- Experience with data ingestion, transformation, and API integration.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with Command Staff and other stakeholders.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with CENTCOM Headquarters Logistics Operating Environment (CHLOE).
- Experience with logistics and supply chain management within military or government contexts.
- Understanding of cyber knowledge and information management disciplines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop AI models using machine learning algorithms and deep learning neural networks.
- Integrate AI/ML tools with the Command Common Operating Picture data repository for real-time logistics decision-making.
- Provide visual displays of advanced analytic data on geographic models/maps or dashboards.
- Build data ingestion and transformation infrastructure interfacing with data repositories and APIs.
- Collaborate with Command Staff to ensure AI/ML workflows incorporate Cyber Knowledge and Information Management disciplines.
- Deliver data-centric recommendations for utilizing AI/ML platforms within the CENTCOM enterprise.
- Develop predictive logistics models and support anomaly detection, supply chain optimization, and contingency development.
- Establish workflows and processes for CHLOE, identify software/hardware requirements, obtain access to data feeds, and secure required licenses.
