Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with our licensed Physical Therapists to provide rehabilitative services to patients. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to improving the quality of life for individuals in need of physical therapy. We have oppurtunities in our Skilled Nursing Facilities and in our Outpatient Clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises, stretches, and manual techniques
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for at-home exercises and self-care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with occupational health, hospital medicine, geriatrics, and orthopedics is a plus
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective treatment
- Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Valid certification or license as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Excellent physical stamina and dexterity to perform therapeutic exercises and manual techniques
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work well in a team environment
