SUMMARY
This position is responsible for setting up and operating various packaging machines in accordance with procedures and guidelines and is responsible for filling, securing, and labeling containers according to company and/or customer specifications. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)

Safely operate and train others on Tier 1 packaging and/or labeling equipment to specifications

Complete tooling changeovers
-
Complete paperwork related to Tier 1 machines
-
Safely operate Tier 1 packaging and/or labeling equipment to specifications
-
Work with Quality to create passable standards, as needed
-
Perform preventative maintenance as required on Tier 1 machines
-
Understand lot coding processes and can accurately complete all of the necessary paperwork
-
Stop and/or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor

Monitor/Develop/Improve current Standard Operating Procedures
-
Recommend process improvements for increased efficiencies
-
Motivate others to reach goals and operate line effectively and efficiently
-
Display and promote company values (ASPIRE: Attitude, Safety, Passion, Integrity, Relationship, and Evolve)

Firm understanding and compliance with company’s Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Practices

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma/GED required

Passing levels on the following National Career Readiness Assessments:

Applied Mathematics: Required

Reading for Information: Required

Workplace Observation: Preferred
- A minimum of 1 years’ of experience in a relatable field preferred

Experience with ERP software preferred

Knowledge of GMP’s, OSHA rules and regulations preferred

Knowledge of material inspection methods and techniques preferred
