We are looking for a supervisor to lead our Mobile Crisis Response program. As a trusted behavioral health organization committed to providing care in the community since 1955, we offer an array of comprehensive services for youth, adolescents, and adults. Our Mobile Crisis Response team is an itinerant intervention brigade responding to the location of the individual seeking to achieve crisis symptom reduction & stabilization, establish support for the individual's caregivers when applicable, and mitigate the crisis event.
Job Scope: Lead a diverse team of clinicians providing mental health and crisis de-escalation services by using agency-provided training to support community members experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Provide leadership to a team that offers face-to-face in the community and offer general outreach, support crisis safety planning, complete assessments, and provide solution focused interventions such as de-escalation, providing coping skills, and follow up care plans.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leads and oversees the daily operations of the Mobile Crisis Response Program
- Provides daily leadership/clinical consultation and supervision/evaluation to Masters, Bachelor, and other clinicians to ensure operations run smoothly and that program development is responsive to individual and community needs. Hire and train new employees.
- Ensuring the crisis stabilization program census is at full capacity.
- Provides a full range of clinical crisis services including IATP, crisis intervention, case management, consultation, rehabilitative groups, discharge planning and referral/linkage services
- Ensures documentation and reporting requirements for programs are being met
- Evaluates individuals for appropriate services and make all necessary referrals, both inside and outside the agency. Manages referrals and relationships with referral sources.
- Completes admissions to and discharges and all other pertinent documentation related to admission & discharge of clients
- Participates in agency committees
- Provides clinical consult and coverage support to teams as needed
- Provides accurate, quality documentation within a maximum of 48 hours after service delivery
Performance Requirements
- Active in program development and design of activities.
- Supervising and evaluating clinical staff and programs.
- Providing full range of clinical services including assessment, counseling, and rehabilitative services.
- Developing an individual treatment plan that addresses clinical needs and reflects client concerns and input.
- Establishing rapport and maintaining supportive contact with clients.
- Assessing and counseling clients in psychiatric crises and activating emergency procedures as appropriate.
- Knowledge of human development across the life cycle as applicable to the clinical population served.
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Human Service field and must possess a valid Illinois Clinical License (LCSW or LCPC)
- Five years clinical experience and 3 years supervisory experience
- Experience working with adults & children with mental health and/or substance use needs and supervise clinical staff
- Experience assessing and counseling clients in psychiatric crises
- Great communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Willingness to work weekends and to work overtime in emergency situations
- Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license, auto insurance, automobile and a willingness to transport clients as necessary
- Ability to administer CPR
Schedule
- Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm (40 hours a week).
- Must be willing work a flexible schedule in response to the needs of the target population served, including evening and weekend hours as needed for coverage and supervisory activities.
